Job Summary
The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various refrigeration systems to ensure their efficient and reliable operation. This is a high-skill role requiring a strong command of thermodynamic, mechanical, and electrical principles to service complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly inspect coolers and freezers for leaks, faulty components, and temperature fluctuations.
- Diagnose complex malfunctions and replace/repair faulty parts within compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, and electrical systems.
- Observe and test installed or repaired systems to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
- Properly handle and recover refrigerants, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, parts inventory, and safety compliance.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, explain necessary repairs, and provide estimates.
- Provide direction to merchandisers on the correct handling of coolers in the market.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Two years of experience in refrigeration, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Must be physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, and working in extreme temperatures or awkward positions.

Our Client is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic Technician responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, which includes trucks, excavators, loaders, cranes, and agricultural machinery. This role requires a strong mechanical background, expert troubleshooting skills for complex systems, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on heavy-duty equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance (oil/filter changes, brake/tire maintenance).
- Troubleshoot and fix engine, transmission, steering, and suspension faults.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics to identify and implement repairs.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, conducting safety inspections and maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
- Keep the workshop clean and organized.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Craft Certificate or above in Auto Mechanics.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a workshop or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic software outputs.
- A Valid Driver's License (a heavy vehicle license is an advantage).
- High physical and mental effort capacity (lifting parts and complex troubleshooting).
